Ted Baker, the British designer brand, announces that Robert Breare has notified the Board of his intention to step down as Non Executive Chairman after more than 11 years in the role effective of today's date.
The Board is pleased to announce that David Bernstein, currently Senior Independent Non Executive Director, will succeed Robert Breare as Non Executive Chairman with immediate effect.
David, who joined the Ted Baker Board in 2003, has extensive international retail experience, previously as joint Managing Director of Pentland Group and as Chairman of Blacks Leisure plc and French Connection plc. David is currently Chairman of The Football Association and is a Non-Executive Director of Wembley National Stadium Limited.
David will also chair the Board's Nomination Committee. Ron Stewart, an Independent Non Executive Director since 2009, will become Senior Independent Non Executive Director and Anne Sheinfield, an Independent Non Executive Director since 2010, will become Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

Following today's positive Christmas period trading update, and with increasing executive commitments such as Snoozebox, I feel it is time to hand over to a new Chairman to lead the Board as Ted Baker continues its development. David Bernstein is a very experienced and respected candidate who, along with the rest of the Board, I am certain will lead Ted Baker to further success."
